Time to Recoup

While walking down the road called redemption,
I fell into a fiery pit known as intension.
A gust of wind put out the infernal flames.
But low and behold it left few remains.

Nothing in this life is for sure and certain,
So it is time to draw the interlude curtain.
It is time for me to sit back and rest for awhile.
I gave it my best shot and I did it in style.

I’ve given all my friends plenty of food for thought.
All found within the walls of a sophisticated box.
When my fingers are working and my mind is alert.
I’ll give you new thoughts and ideas, and I’ll wear a clean shirt.

Goodbye for just a little while, may your nights be peaceful and your days full of surprises.
